In this guide you will discover everything you need to understand how the Art of Communication is changing the panorama of social inclusion for deaf people. Founded in 2016 in Palermo, this non -profit association is dedicated to the promotion of social inclusion both from a formative and cultural point of view, creating opportunities for everyone.
Training for everyone
The Art of Communication organizes Italian signs language courses (LIS) not only in its Palermo headquarters, but also in various Italian locations. These courses are open to deaf people, hearing and family members of deaf people, helping to build communication and understanding bridges. In addition, the Association collaborates with other realities to further spread LIS, making accessible online video tutorials online.
Culture and participation
The association does not stop at training, but also undertakes to organize cultural and artistic events in LIS. These initiatives offer deaf people the opportunity to actively participate in social life. One of the most successful projects was the musical show “One night among the stars of the musical”, which took place in Palermo, Milan and Reggio Emilia, attracting an audience of about 1,700 people. These events not only entertain, but also sensitize the community on the importance of inclusion.
A clear goal
The main objective of Art of Communication is to break down the barriers of communication and promote the social inclusion of deaf people. The association is convinced that training and culture are essential to achieve this. In addition to LIS courses and cultural events, the association collaborates with public and private bodies to ensure that services are accessible to everyone, thus contributing to a more inclusive company.
The Art of Communication is carrying out a fundamental work to promote the social inclusion of deaf people, becoming an example to follow for other associations and entities engaged in this important field.
